Up bright and early to fish a mark on the first push of the tide, thankfully i was there an hour before low water, as there there was a good ground swell running. I was fishing a very shallow area with a  Dolive stick nice and slow with just the odd twitch, bang fish on, a nice scrap in the shallows and it wasnt long before i was looking at a fine fish of 5lb 4...



The water temperature is now 13 degrees, the fish swam off strongly, she was caught half an hour before low water , the sea coloured up as the swell increased, sometimes its just about a window of opportunity...
