First off the top for 2011
Monday 25 April 2011
Out for first light, a light northerly, air temp 9 degrees, water temp 10 degrees, water clarity good. Having had a few half hearted attempts from good size bass on surface lures on previous sessions, i decided to start off with a patchinko, which proved to be a good call, and had a hit and run take as the fish steamed off back out to sea, stripping line off the clutch, and me rockhopping to keep a direct line on her, avoiding the many submerged rocks, heart pumping full of adrenaline i eventually tired her, and safely brought her in,a few photos, weighed, and released to fight another day, a cracking fish of 6lb 11oz, great to get one off the top in april.
